Abstract

The flow of compressible fluid with suspended particles in circular tube under the effect of surface acoustic wave (SAW) is investigated. The system of differential equations for both the fluid and particles phases is solved using the perturbation method to simplify the system of equations. The time average of flow rate is calculated, and the effect of Reynolds number, wave number, concentration and density ratio is studied. Comparison between our study and the previous is discussed. The effect of SAW on the flow of suspended natural gas is taken as an application. Real data are used to introduce this application. The SAW on pipeline may avoid accumulation of black powder.
