Abstract

Brex made from metallurgical slags, iron-ore concentrate, manganese ore, screenings of metallized pellets and ferroalloys, coke fines, and coal were studied to evaluate their mechanical strength and hot strength and determine their behavior during heating in a reducing atmosphere. The metallurgical properties of brex make it possible to successfully use them in steelmaking and various production processes in extractive metallurgy.
