Abstract

The article delves into the phenomenon of sedentariness in continuous-time quantum walks (CTQWs) on graphs, where quantum states propagate across spin networks. It defines sedentary vertices and families of graphs, and provides sufficient conditions for their existence. The study also explores the relationship between sedentariness and other types of quantum state transfer, such as perfect state transfer and proper fractional revival. Notably, it introduces the concept of quasi-sedentary families and discusses their properties. The research offers new insights into the behavior of quantum states in graph networks, contributing to the broader understanding of quantum walks and state transfer phenomena.
