Abstract

A polyurethane hot-melt adhesive has been developed that involves the use of hydroxypropylated diphenylolpropane with a molecular weight of 1000 as an oligoetherdiol. The kinetic regularities of the reaction of hydroxypropylated diphenylolpropane with 2,4-toluene diisocyanate at [NCO] : [OH] = 2 have been studied, showing that the resulting prepolymer is stable over time at a temperature of 50°C. The influence of prescription parameters of the adhesive on the properties of adhesive joints has been studied. It is shown that the composition in which an excess of isocyanate is provided surpasses the analog with an equimolar ratio in terms of bonding strength. The resulting adhesive composition has a high adhesive capacity and can be suggested as a household adhesive.
