The EU has decided to tighten the CO2 legislation for commercial vehicles drastically. With regard to the figures in 2019 the emissions have to be reduced by 15 % until 2025 and by 30 % until 2030. As an additional difficulty the NOx limits are reduced at the same time. To bring the SCR catalyst to the necessary temperature level quick enough thermal management measures are required which need energy. So the demand on the CO2 reduction is increased further. This legislation is a great challenge for the industry. …
