Abstract

The article delves into the significant role of digital literacy, self-control, and motivation in predicting academic achievement in the Science, Technology, and Society (STS) learning area. It highlights the integration of science and technology in modern society and the crucial role of education in adapting to these changes. The study focuses on the 5th grade Social Studies Course Curriculum (SSCC) in Turkey, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy and self-control skills in the STS learning area. The research model, methodology, and findings are presented, showing the correlation and predictive power of digital literacy, self-control, and motivation on students' academic achievements in the STS learning area. The article offers valuable insights into enhancing educational curricula and teaching methods to improve students' success in this critical learning field.
