Abstract

The possibility of deformationless fixation by means of a polymer glue for workpieces on metal-cutting machines has been considered. The results of theoretical studies on the parameters influencing the cutting and actual workpiece fastening forces have been given, and an equation characterizing the stability of workpiece fastening with a polymer glue has been derived. The proposed workpiece-fastening method has been tested to demonstrate the full correspondence of a manufactured part to design requirements.
