Binders Based on Epoxy Polymer Mixtures and Thermoelastoplastics. Part 5. Physicomechanical Properties of Epoxy Polymers Modified with Polysulfone–Polydimethylsiloxane–Polysulfone Block Copolymers

Abstract

We investigate the influence of thermoelastoplastics—three-block copolymers on the base of polysulfone and polydimethylsiloxane with different ratios and different molecular masses of rigid and elastic blocks—on the physicomechanical properties of epoxy polymers. The concentration dependences of the tensile strength, the rupture strain, the fracture energy, and the elasticity modulus are shown to be extreme in nature: the positions and intensities of their maxima depend on the rigid-to-elastic block ratio in the thermoelastoplastic. The modification effect increases significantly after heat treatment of the modified samples.
