Time has come for the development of application software with elements which are standardised through expert languages — the so called Application Objects. The “knowledge-pre-products” for this venture are at hand, they just have to be picked up, i. e. to be reconstructed through normative languages and to be made available as “expert components”, “expert referential models” and “expert terminologies” to the software industry as well as to the applying enterprises. Coordinating these processes, standardising the application objects and publishing them is best left to a “supra-industrial” organisation. To share such standardisation projects would offer competitive advantages to enterprises both from the producer’s and the user’s point of view. Application objects always have to be completely reconstructed and integrated to the proprietary systems by users as well as by producers. This paper features the methodological bases, an organisational conception and the technical means for achieving the objectives.
