Abstract

The behavior of macroisotropic powdered metal composites in cyclic loading under the conditions of a complex stress-strain state (SSS) is investigated. The fatigue properties of structurally inhomogeneous iron-based materials in a complex SSS were examined experimentally. Previously, using the results of basic experiments, a simulation of the fatigue of a powder material under arbitrary loading trajectories was carried out, and model surfaces of its fatigue strength were constructed. This paper presents a comparative analysis of experimental data and modeling results for the fatigue of a powdered material in a complex SSS, and a satisfactory agreement is found to exist between them.
