Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRP) are increasingly being used in civil engineering projects. The lightweight and corrosion-resistant materials were initially used in the form of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers (C-FRP) to strengthen and reinforce steel, concrete and timber structures. However, the construction of components or entire structures made of C-FRP is too expensive, which is why the trend is towards more cost-effective Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymers (G-FRP). …
