A Study of the Properties of Melamine–Carbamide–Formaldehyde Resins Modified with Lignosulphonates

Abstract

Modification of melamine–carbamide–formaldehyde resin with lignosulfonates was carried out. Reactions of lignosulfonate with formaldehyde and melamine are presented. The formulations of the optimal adhesives have been determined. Studies of the effect of lignosulfonates on the properties of plywood, in particular, on strength and toxicity, have been carried out. The parameters of gluing plywood of different thickness are substantiated using the developed adhesive composition.
