Abstract

The article delves into the pressing issue of soil salinization's impact on global crop production, with a focus on lettuce. It highlights the adverse effects of salt stress on plant growth and physiology, and introduces salicylic acid as a potential growth regulator. The study employs Response Surface Methodology to optimize SA dosage and irrigation water salinity, aiming to enhance lettuce yield, water use efficiency, and overall growth under salt stress conditions. The research includes comprehensive experiments and statistical modeling to determine the optimal conditions for lettuce cultivation, making it a valuable resource for agricultural scientists and horticulturists.
