A Programmable Routing System for Semi-physical Simulation

Abstract

The paper designs a programmable routing system, which can be used for semi-physical and network testing. The system adopts the low-cost multi-network card host as the router, and uses the operating system’s own security policy to block the connection between the network card and the operating system. The system can prevent the operating system from automatically processing the data frames. The sharpcap is used to capture and send data frames to process network data frames. The transport protocol and routing algorithm are user-defined. During the transmission process, the platform records the changes of routing table and data frame, and comprehensively shows the transmission process of data frame to the user, so that the user can have a more comprehensive understanding of the principle of computer network, and better complete the test and simulation.
