Mindy Curnutt has been working with data since the early 1990s and with SQL Server specifically since 1997. She is CEO of Mindy Curnutt & Associates Consulting. She is Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for the nonprofit startup Girls + Data ( www.girlsanddata.org ), where she is responsible for fundraising, social media promotion, and strategically advancing the company’s mission to encourage young women to pursue careers in data analytics. Mindy also owns Kirbson Direct, LLC, an umbrella over two other companies Stampola ( www.stampola.com ) and BBQ Bud ( www.bbqbud.com ). Stampola manufactures rubber stamps and silicone molds. BBQ Bud designs, manufactures, and imports novelty barbeque accessories.

Kenneth Fisher has spent his entire 30-year career working with data in one form or another. He’s used SQL Server since SQL 2000, and he has enjoyed almost every minute of it. He keeps a public list of blogging ideas in case anyone else needs one, as well as lists of free tools and education resources. Abstract
Jes Borland is a premier field engineer at Microsoft. She has experience with a wide range of SQL Server features (versions 2005 through 2017), and is on the cutting edge of Azure technologies. Since graduating Fox Valley Technical College with an IT-programmer/analyst degree, Jes has worked as an SSRS developer, DBA, and consultant. Her involvement with a variety of implementations has created a deep well of experience from which to draw as she works with customers. Before joining Microsoft, Jes was a six-time Data Platform MVP, recognized for her community work. Jes tackles every project and problem with tenacity, and her enthusiasm is unmatched in the SQL Server community. Abstract
Kevin Feasel is a Microsoft Data Platform MVP and the engineering manager of the Predictive Analytics team at ChannelAdvisor, where he specializes in T-SQL and R development, fighting with Kafka, and pulling rabbits out of hats on demand. He started his post-graduate career as a web developer working for the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, where he was the slowest to run away from the database and thereby became the de facto database administrator. Later, he became the de jure database administrator for the agency. Eventually moving on from there, he did additional work as a database administrator focusing on data warehousing and ETL solutions. At the end of 2013, he became a database engineer at ChannelAdvisor. In January of 2017, he started his current role as the manager of a new team dedicated to predictive analytics.

Ginger Grant provides consulting services in advanced analytic solutions, including machine learning, data warehousing, ETL, reporting and cube development, Power BI, Excel automation, data visualization, and training. Abstract
Vicky Harp grew up around computers. The daughter of a firefighter father and a mother who ran her own computer business, by high school, she was regularly competing in coding competitions. As an undergraduate at Texas A&M University, she discovered a strong interest in database systems, going so far as to become a lab assistant for database courses to help other students with homework and normalization concepts. An internship in the data warehouse group at Compaq Computer Corp. in 2000 began her career working with SQL Server.

Abstract
Kendra Little is the founder of SQL Workbooks (sqlworkbooks.com), where she teaches performance tuning in interactive webcasts, and offers monthly SQLChallenges and recorded video sessions. She is a Microsoft Certified Master in SQL Server, and she has worked as a database administrator for companies ranging from small startups to Microsoft Corporation. As a consultant, Kendra has helped clients around the world to tune their workloads, solve their toughest performance problems, and scale their SQL Servers. Kendra is well known at SQL Server conferences for making complex concepts relatable and understandable through art and engaging demo scripts. Kendra has a master’s degree in philosophy from Fordham University. She lives in Portland, Oregon, and is unashamedly obsessed with dogs and cycling.

Jason Brimhall is a Microsoft Certified Master/Microsoft Certified Solutions Master and Data Platform MVP. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry, including more than 10 years with SQL Server. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business information systems from Utah State University. One of the highlights of his career was co-authoring two books in the SQL Server T-SQL Recipes series. He is a frequent presenter at SQL Server events worldwide, including SQLSaturday and user groups.

John Morehouse started his IT career many years ago at Mutual of Omaha in Nebraska. He eventually became an accidental DBA and worked with SQL Server full time in 2007 as a consultant for Sogeti. Later, he became a database architect for Farm Credit Services of America. During his time in Nebraska, he rebooted the Omaha SQL Server User Group and led the group until late 2014, building a distribution list of more than 800 members.

Abstract
Kirsten Benzel is a mischievous senior database engineer who has been working for SurveyMonkey since 2014. Prior, she enjoyed the deserts of Arizona while working on-site for GoDaddy, and then found the Bay Area also to her liking while she worked remotely for several years. She became fascinated with computers at an early age. When she’s not gaming, you can usually find her gleefully tuning a query or wandering a beach looking for sea glass. Her career in information technology began when she was unable to find employment as a town philosopher after earning her BA in Philosophy from Northern Arizona University. She became visible in the SQL community while twice administrating Argenis Without Borders, a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders that ended during the annual PASS Summit.

Dave Walden has over 20 years of experience in large, high-performance, mission-critical environments. Matt Gordon has worked with SQL Server since 2000 and has worked with versions up to and including SQL Server 2017. He is the leader of the Lexington, KY, chapter of PASS, a frequent SQL Saturday speaker, a user group speaker and a speaker at PASS Summit 2017. He’s also been named a 2018 Friend of Redgate and IDERA SQL Superstar. His original data professional role was as a database developer, but that quickly evolved into query-tuning work, which further evolved into a full-fledged DBA in the healthcare realm. He has supported critical systems utilizing SQL Server across multiple data centers and managed dozens of 24/7/365 SQL Server implementations. He currently utilizes those years of real-world experience as a national Microsoft data platform consultant helping clients design deployment solutions that meet their ever-changing business needs.

Jimmy May has been providing solutions using SQL Server since the 20th century. He specializes in flipping the /faster bit. Jimmy is a Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) . Formerly, he was a principal architect at Microsoft and a senior program manager for the SQL Server Customer Advisory Team (SQL CAT) , where he managed the Customer Lab, which hosts the biggest, fastest, and most interesting SQL Server apps from all over the world. More recently, he was a SQL Server technologist for what was Fusion-io’s Data Propulsion Lab (DPL) . Jimmy has served as an enterprise architect at five organizations, including three Fortune 100 companies. He has spoken on four continents, including the largest data analytics conferences in North America, Europe, and Asia. At Microsoft, he was honored with a Gold Star award and a Challenge the Industry award. He is also a recipient of the Innovate the Industry award. He is a founder of IndyPASS and The Indiana Windows User Group (IWUG).
