The basic optimal control problem with bounded measurable controls and absolutely continuous trajectories is approximated by the sequence of finite-dimensional (discrete) problems. Using the notion of the discrete convergence of elements and operators, conditions are presented which quarantee the discrete convergence of trajectories and the weak discrete convergence of controls.
