A requirement for building complex power distribution control systems is the seperation of data management and data processing including data transfers. According to this concept the data base management system stores a model of the structure and the state of the controlled process and the control system itself under real time conditions. This can be faciliated by a powerful communication system and by pre-processing the data in remote stations.
