The literature on fatigue and fracture is extremely extensive, mainly due to the large number of variables involved in the process. It is not possible to look at all the possible variables involved in the fatigue process. The present study is focussed on some of the aspects involved in generating fatigue crack growth data namely: specimen type, size, measurement techniques and test methods.
