An energy parameter Mc based on the concept of the M-integral ([

]) is proposed for describing the fracture behavior corresponding to a 2-D multi-cracked rubbery mechanical system under the action of large deformation. The parameter is defined by originating the coordinate system at the geometric center of the all the cracks, and then conducting the integration along a contour enclosing all the cracks. With such a definition, Mc appears to be a problem-invariant parameter.
