Abstract

We proceed to the study of the third part of our lecture course devoted to electromagnetic waves in guiding and resonant structures, and start from the oldest and most developed subject; namely, from hollow waveguides. We give a definition of the waveguide of the transmission line as the main constituent part of the modern systems of ultra-fast information processing. The so-called basing elements and functional blocks of all types of the radio-electronic equipment are built based on them.
