The World Wide Web is an interlinked collection of documents that are generally devoid of any structure and primarily meant for human consumption. On the other hand, the SemanticWeb, as proposed by Tim Berners-Lee and described in the wellknown Scientific American article titled “The Semantic Web” [40], is an extension of the World Wide Web where structure and meaning are provided to the data. This makes the information in the interlinked documents machine understandable. The goal is to make the machines (or software agents as indicated in [40]) to not only parse but also to comprehend the vast amount of data on the Web. This allows software agents to integrate data from different sources, infer hidden facts, and respond to complex queries easily. Software agents can then work together with humans and learn from them. They can interact with humans by voice or text and perform tasks such as booking appointments given certain constraints such as distance and ratings of the place. Software agents should also be able to explain how they arrived at a particular conclusion or recommendation.
