At the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018, MAN Truck & Bus unveiled the MAN Cite, which has been designed for city delivery transport. Using "agile methods", it was developed in only eighteen months.

Developed in less than two years, the MAN Cite is an electric truck designed for urban distribution transport. Using the agile scrum method, a cross-functional team significantly accelerated the Cite concept, so that it could be presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 after only eighteen months of development.
Since a diesel engine is no longer required above the front axle, the electrically powered vehicle can have a very low floor, ensuring ample room for the driver in the cab. The Cite's centrally positioned electric motor is obtained from MAN's electric mobility module. The lithium-ion batteries are located under the chassis. With a range of 100 kilometres, the Cite should be suitable for city delivery transport.
A comfortable and safe electric truck for the city
With its electrically operated, large swing/sliding doors, the MAN Cite provides low and comfortable entry, as well as easy access inside the cabin due to an automatically folding seat on the passenger's side. The ergonomically designed driver's cockpit has digital instruments, abundant stowage space and a tablet/smartphone holder. Since the doors are often left open during delivery traffic, MAN has dispensed with air conditioning in the cab in favour of heating and ventilation on the driver’s seat, as well as a heated steering wheel.
A low seat position and large windows give the driver an excellent panoramic view, which increases safety in city traffic. The Cite also uses a 360-degree Birdview and cameras that replace the wing mirrors.
