GUI Testing for Introductory Object-Oriented Programming Exercises
Abstract
Automated testing is necessary in large classrooms where many students learn a programming language. This paper presents a method to test and score student programs with graphical user interfaces written in JavaFX. The method is based on scripts that analyzes the structure of programs under test and simulates user’s interactions. We implemented several utility methods to write the testing scripts easy. No additional software library is required to run the scripts. Preliminary evaluation results are shown on the developing and executing of scripts for real exercises in our introductory programming classrooms.

Python Deserialization Denial of Services Attacks and Their Mitigations
Abstract
In recent years, many vulnerabilities in deserialization mechanisms are reported. Serialization is converting an object to a byte string, and deserialization is converting the byte string to the object. Pickle is a serialization/deserialization module in Python standard library. In the pickle module, specially-crafted data consumes huge memory in deserialization. There is a possibility that the memory consumption leads to deniable of services attacks. This paper precisely describes the DoS attacks and their mitigations.

A Branch-and-Bound Based Exact Algorithm for the Maximum Edge-Weight Clique Problem
Abstract
The maximum edge-weight clique problem is to find a clique whose sum of edge-weight is maximum for a given edge-weighted undirected graph. The problem is NP-hard and was formulated as a mathematical programming problem in previous studies. In this paper, we propose an exact algorithm based on branch-and-bound. By some computational experiments, we confirmed our proposal algorithm is faster than the methods based on mathematical programming.

Components of Mobile Integration in Social Business and E-commerce Application
Abstract
E-commerce and Social Business solutions are developed through the integration of different components. Distributed software agents are very promising in developing an increasingly penetrating component and middleware technology. Agents are specialized types of components that offer greater flexibility than traditional components. This study focuses on the development of a software agent that could be used to assemble different types of frameworks written and constructed by different developers from different platforms. This paper proposed an application of mobile integration components in social enterprise and e-commerce as a software development methodology to simply integrate different basic components of the technology into a single web-based solution. We propose a systematic development process for the software agent using components and UML. We first developed the agent component specification and modeled it. Based on this, we developed a mobile application for social business applications. We integrate the module-based software framework into Drupal’s content management system.

Design and Evaluation of a MMO Game Server
Abstract
Many large-scale online genre games such as Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) are attracting attention in the game market. In a game server connected to hundreds or thousands of users, a large number of packets come and go between the server and the client in real time. For the server to endure these loads, IOCP (Input/Output Completion Port) and multi-thread are necessary. This paper implements a simple MMO Game Server using IOCP and evaluates its performance. Also, IOCP packet design and processing method are presented. The Simple MMO Game Server implemented in this paper also supports multi-thread synchronization and dead reckoning.

A Study on the Characteristics of Electroencephalography (EEG) by Listening Location of OLED Flat TV Speaker
Abstract
Along with the development in OLED TV panel manufacturing technology, the thickness of the panel is thinned, and the durability is also improved. It is also possible to generate sound by directly driving the panel. In this study, we have analyzed the acoustic characteristics of a directly driving the OLED panel speakers, using electroencephalography (EEG), in addition study the advantages of direct driving sound. For the experiment, we found that it is important that the two focal points coincide with each other through the EEG analysis when the focus of the screen and the focus of the sound are changed by adjusting the sound generated by the position in the OLED flat panel TV speaker. OLED TV with direct drive speakers has a basic effect of matching the positions of the screen and sound. This is because the direction of the sound and the direction of the screen coincide with the viewers of the TV, so that the stress is less and the viewing is comfortable compared to the conventional TV. The acoustic characteristics of proposed OLED speakers are high in resolution. And the sound quality is better than ordinary TVs, because of direct transferred sound instead of listening to reflections or difference sound sources compared with.

A Study on the Design of Efficient Private Blockchain
Abstract
Blockchain is the key innovative new technology of the future for which interest is being increased domestically and overseas as an icon of innovation to change the existing business process. The Blockchain has started as a public Blockchain first, allowing anybody to participate in the Blockchain network to view all history, and anybody to verify transaction history. However, as proved by bitcoin, the open-type distributed ledger has several technical and positive problems. There exist several disadvantages where much resource should be incorporated to maintain and manage the network with unspecified many participating, internal information is disclosed, processing speed is slow, and anonymity of transactions should be guaranteed, etc. The private Blockchain technology that overcomes such limitations and configures a distributed network with only certified participants as the subject is being magnified. In the present article, issues of a reliable private Blockchain will be derived and design measures be proposed to make a contribution so as to enable safe utilization in the environment of P2P distributed network.

Designing System Model to Detect Malfunction of Gas Sensor in Laboratory Environment
Abstract
Recently, the size of the chemical industry has been growing as well as investing a lot of time and resources to develop core technologies and cultivate human resources. As a result, the handling of chemicals is increasing and the risks are increasing. In particular, there is always the problem of the occurrence of chemical accidents due to the failure of control or management. To prevent this, a disaster detection system using sensors is actively under study. However, the gas sensor among the disaster detection sensors is malfunction due to the influence of the temperature and the humidity. Therefore, in this paper, we collect correlation data of temperature sensor and gas sensor to prevent this. After confirming the correlation through correlation analysis, we calculate regression coefficient by regression analysis and obtain regression equation that can extract sample values of gas sensor data and temperature sensor data. Through this formula, a threshold value that can detect the error value of the gas sensor data is obtained and applied to the decision tree to design a system that can detect the malfunction of the gas sensor according to the temperature change.

Design of Device Mutual Authentication Protocol in Smart Home Environment
Abstract
Amid the rapid expansion of smart devices including smartphone in our daily lives, more and more households have been adopting new forms of Smart Home services by linking home electronics with their smart devices. This kind of Smart Home services are aimed to make people’s personal spaces more comfortable and convenient. However, the connection among many smart devices could lead to a situation in which the devices could be controlled by third parties through malware, unauthenticated access or hacking, increasing the risk of device modulation, privacy invasion, and date leak. Therefore, it is imperative to come up with some security requirements. There is a problem of the existing home network system: it allows multiple ways of protocol, making it impossible for devices with different protocols to be connected and provide safe services. Also, the whole system would stop if a system component does not work in the server-based platform. This paper will suggest a security protocol for device/user authentication and access control in order to enable easy and convenient compatibility services. In addition, it gives you a way to establish a safe and secure framework thorough the protocol suggested.
