An analysis of geographic factors is the primary and necessary step for the preparation of military operations on the territory. Relief, hydrology, soil conditions, vegetation and other factors greatly affect the pass ability of an area and the movement of vehicles in the terrain. Sandy soils are the majority of the soil type in the areas of the current fighting conflicts in which NATO troops operate. These areas are characterized by a significant reduction in the speed and capabilities of overcoming the sloping terrain from roads or stable surfaces. Simulation of the influence of sandy soils in laboratory conditions is difficult. Testing and simulation of the movement of vehicles outside of communication can be used not only by military units, but also ambulatory vehicles or vehicles of integrated emergency systems in times of natural disasters such as floods, fires etc.
