The increased application of data envelopment analysis (DEA) over the past decade has been accompanied by a growing awareness of computational subtleties of the mathematical models that compose the methodology. In this chapter, we introduce elements of the computational characteristics of DEA in the context of the basic DEA models that were presented in chapter 2.
