Egypt lies between latitudes 22° and 32° North, and longitudes 25° and 35° East. The North boundary of Egypt is the Mediterranean Sea, and the East is the Red Sea. The South and West are political boundaries with Sudan and Libya, respectively. Land area of Egypt is about one million km2, 94% of which is desert.
