Abstract

The prime focus of computer vision research is on the development of novel methods for object recognition methods. Among various object recognition methods, shape-based methods are found to be efficient than others. So, the present chapter focuses on the design of a novel approach for object recognition with visual information. For this, the present chapter considered the input shape in complex plane and represented with the measure of vortex flow on the cylinder with angle of attack. The Fourier transform is used to describe the input object. The evaluated performance measures indicate the efficiency of the proposed approach for classifying the input medical images.
