Über dieses Buch

This book is intended for researchers and postgraduates who are interested in the consensus reaching process in group decision-making problems. It puts forward new optimization-based decision support approaches to help decision-makers find roadmaps to consensus with minimum adjustments. Simulation experiments and comparison analysis are subsequently conducted to assess the validity of the proposal. After reading this book, readers will possess a number of valuable tools for building consensus with minimum adjustments in the context of group decision-making. Further, the proposed approach can effectively reduce costs in consensus building.

Frontmatter
Chapter 1. Introduction
Abstract
The basic knowledge regarding the group decision making (GDM) and consensus is introduced in this chapter. In particular, we introduce two key elements in the GDM: preference representation structure and aggregation function. Subsequently, we conduct a literature review regarding the consensus, present a general consensus framework, and propose the core problem in the consensus reaching process.

Chapter 2. Consensus with Utility Preferences
Abstract
The basic idea of the consensus with minimum adjustments (or cost) is clarified. Meanwhile, the consensus model with minimum adjustments (or cost) is investigated under the utility preferences and aggregation functions.
Yucheng Dong, Jiuping Xu
Chapter 3. Consensus with Preference Relations
Abstract
The iteration-based consensus model and the LP-based consensus model for the GDM with preference relations are proposed to deal with the individual consistency in the consensus building.

Chapter 4. Consensus Under Linguistic Context
Abstract
We investigate the consensus in linguistic GDM problems.

Chapter 5. Consensus with Heterogeneous Preference Representation Structures
Abstract
The direct consensus model and the prospect theory based consensus model are proposed for the GDM with heterogeneous preference representation structures. Furthermore, a minimum adjustments consensus model under the prospect theory is presented.

Chapter 6. Consensus in Multiple Attribute Decision Making
Abstract
We present two multiple attribute consensus rules with minimum adjustments: the distance-based consensus rule and the count-based consensus rule. The distance-based consensus rule is to minimize the distance between the original opinions and adjusted opinions, and the count-based consensus rule seeks to minimize the number of adjusted preference values. Based on the distance-based and count-based consensus rules, we develop an interactive consensus reaching process for MAGDM.
