Abstract

Zieliński analyses the lists of participants of all Bilderberg network meetings during the period 1954–2015. Based on the number of participations, he is able to distinguish two groups: hosts and guests. The hosts are mostly from finance, industry, and royalty, while the guests are mostly politicians and intellectuals. The Bilderberg Conferences are mainly a “white boys club”: non-white participants are a rarity and women represent only around 10% of all participants. The main policy issues are trade liberalization, the Atlantic community, collective security, and monetary union. The institutions and corporations organizing these conferences represent the liberal fraction of the transnational power elite.
