Porsche is offering new equipment options for the 911 Carrera models, which include a seven-speed manual gearbox in combination with the Sport Chrono package.

Porsche customers can now order the 911 Carrera S and Carrera 4S models with a seven-speed manual gearbox as an alternative to Porsche's standard eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox (PDK) at no extra cost. The manual gearbox is combined with the Sport Chrono package. When the driver moves down a gear, a rev-match function increases the engine speed by automatically opening the throttle. This adjusts the engine speed to the higher gear speed in the lower gear and avoids power-off reactions.

The Sport Chrono package also includes Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with variable drive torque distribution thanks to controlled braking interventions on the rear wheels and mechanical rear axle differential lock with asymmetrical locking action. Other features included are dynamic engine mounts, PSM Sport mode and a mode switch on the steering wheel to select the different driving modes, as well as a stop watch and the Porsche Track Precision app. A Smartlift function that lifts the front end by 40 mm via an electro-hydraulic system and the 930 leather package are some of the options additionally available for the Porsche 911 Carrera. The new optional lightweight and noise-insulated glazing with laminated glass and acoustic film reduces the vehicle's weight by 4 kg.
