NTT proposed last March “Visual, Intelligent and Personal Communications Service(VI&P)” as our new concept of communications services for the 21st century, and presented a long-term perspective on which we should focus our attention. In order to provide “Visual, Intelligent, and Personal” communications services as proposed in the VI&P concept at appropriate rates, we need to develop new communications networks whose primary targets are Broadband-ISDN and Intelligent Network.
