Prof. Dr. Olivier Guillon is Director of the Institute of Energy and Climate Research: Materials Synthesis and Processing (IEK-1) at Forschungszentrum Jülich and Professor at the Institute of Mineral Engineering at RWTH Aachen University since 2014. Between 2011 and 2014 he was Professor of Mechanics of Functional Materials at the University of Jena and temporarily a Visiting Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. His research interests are ceramic materials and components for energy technologies such as solid oxide fuel cells, electrolyzers, solid state batteries, membranes for gas separation, thermal barrier coatings and high temperature ceramics.
