Selection Of Port Enterprise Logistics Service Providers Based On The Combination Weighting-Grey Synthetic Decision-Making Method

Selection of port enterprises logistics service providers is a complex multiple attribute decision-making problem. In order to improve the scientific nature of selection, a set of reasonable decision-making methods of logistics service providers selection are needed to establish. Accordingly, a combination weighting-grey synthetic decision-making method is proposed, which is used to solve the problem of providers selection. Firstly, this method combines the network analysis method with the entropy method to determine combined weights of evaluation indexes. Secondly, the improved center-point triangular whitenization weight function is introduced to cluster alternative plans and judge its corresponding grey classes, and then synthetic weighted decision-making vectors are used to solve grey synthetic decision-making coefficient vectors. Next, grey synthetic clustering decision-making coefficients are calculated to conduct a synthetic decision-making rank of alternative plans. Finally, an empirical study is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method by taking logistics service providers selection of a port enterprise.

Application of evaluation of aircraft material demand forecasting method and mining of association rules

The support probability of aviation materials is a crucial part in the process of normal operation of airlines. But the higher support probability will inevitably lead to the increase of inventory cost of aviation materials, and restrict airlines to improve their efficiency. Hence it is of great significance for airlines reducing the material cost on the premise of normal operation to predict the material requirements accurately based on reasonable models. This paper summarizes a series of prediction models of aviation material requirements, and applies the grey comprehensive correlation degree to evaluate the models. On this basis, the method of association rules is used to discover the association relationships between the types of aviation materials and the prediction models.

The Effect of Reciprocity on Revenue Sharing Contract Coordination and its Dynamics

To analyze the effect of reciprocity on revenue sharing contract’s coordination and its dynamic effect on agents’ decisions, this paper established the extended utility function including the preference of reciprocity based on the model. Besides, controlled experiments were designed to test the above results. Unlike research results of wholesale price contract, reciprocity caused the failure of coordination. Supplier’s decision did not meet the condition for coordination. Therefore, the retailer’s order quantity is lower than the benchmark under centralized decision, which means the efficiency of supply chain could not be promoted. During exchange process, participants not only purse their own interests, while the relationship is also part of their goal.

Intelligent Rescheduling System for Steelmaking and Continuous Casting Production

There are many types of disturbances that upset the plan in steelmaking and continuous casting (SCC) production, including processing time variation, temperature variation, quality variation, machine failures, which could cause the static schedule to become inefficient and even infeasible. It is necessary to adjust the schedule or generate a new executable schedule upon the occurrence of unanticipated disruptions and changes. Two rescheduling methods are presented: the partial rescheduling and complete rescheduling. The former refers to the right shift partial rescheduling based on continuous casting, the partial rescheduling based on case-based reasoning and man-computer interaction. The latter refers to the complete rescheduling considering changeable processing time, the complete rescheduling considering changeable processing time and production path. The mathematical models of two class complete rescheduling are formulated, and the solving methods are also given. The intelligent rescheduling system for SCC production with these methods is successfully applied to one large steel plant, and rapidly optimal rescheduling is achieved when disturbances occur.

Application of RCA to the Data Analysis in Medication Errors of the TPR System

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of data analysis in Taiwan Patient-safety Reporting system (TPR). The TPR system is evaluated by comparing the results of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and the collecting data from TPR system. We used 18 medication errors and recruited 30 nurses to report those errors to the TPR system. With systematical approach, Human Factors Analysis and Classification System model (HFACS) were applied to analyze the results. The study showed that the sum of the causal factors and the number of causal factors in all layers in HFACS model from the TPR system are less than the results from the RCA. It implied that the TPR system cannot offer useful and effective information for causal analysis and would need some further analysis and improvement.

Adaptive Grasping and Adjusting Method of Virtual Hand Gestures with Semantics Information for Virtual Assembly

To improve the grasping efficiency and posture fidelity of virtual hands in virtual assembly processes, a novel adaptive grasping and adjusting method is presented. The attributes and information of assembly parts and assembly gesture of virtual hands are described completely with semantic description models in advance. Basic gestures model base and gestures knowledge base are established to facilitate the generation of hand gestures. According to the spatial relationship between a part and a virtual hand and the semantic description model of the part, the transitions from initial gesture to basic gesture can be calculated. Grasping rules are defined and used to adaptively obtain the final gesture and grasping position of virtual hand. Based on the constraints dynamic-solving algorithm and reasoning of semantic information, the virtual hand is adjusted to the appropriate grasping posture automatically. The validity of this method is verified by the virtual assembly of a reducer.

Research on the Mechanism of Risk Cascading Propagation across Interdependent R&D Networks

Considering that risks propagate not only within single R&D network, but also spread among interdependent R&D networks, we explore the risk cascading propagation mechanism across interdependent R&D networks. Firstly, we proposed the generation algorithm of individual R&D network based on R&D network has the characteristics of scale-free and small-world networks. Then we identified three types of interdependences (i.e., input interdependence, shared interdependence and co-located interdependence) between interdependent R&D networks. After that, we introduced cascading failures theory to model the risk propagation within single R&D network by defining the risk load and risk capacity on each firm, and building the rule of local triggering among risks. Finally, we propose the four-stage model to describe the process of risk cascading propagation across interdependent R&D networks.

With the increasing number of web services advertised via the Web, service repositories have to face a challenging task, i.e., to automatically group those Web services so as to help themselves or end-users to retrieve those services effectively and efficiently. In this paper, a new web service classification method is proposed. Firstly, a new integrated similarity measure for Web service is developed. It combines a statistic measure (TF-IDF) and a semantic similarity measure based on information content. Then, a couple of popular classifiers, e.g. radial basis function neural network (RBFN) and K-nearest neighborhoods (KNN) are used to group Web services. Experimental results on the OWLS-TC dataset indicate the proposed integrated approach outperforms the semantic method which is popular in Web service discovery.

How to Optimize Production and Carbon Resources under Cap and Trade

With the increase of human carbon emissions, global climate warming is becoming more and more significant. Natural disasters, climate change and extreme weather events become more frequent, these environmental problems have caused serious influence to human life. China has established regional carbon emissions trading markets at seven pilot cities which are based on cap and trade. Participating enterprises are restricted in total carbon emissions through initial allocation of emission quotas. They can purchase emission quotas to satisfy their excessive emission needs via the carbon emissions trading market. Also, they can conduct self-purification to reduce carbon emission level to satisfy their excessive emission needs. And they can sell the surplus emission quotas to gain revenue via the carbon emission trade market. Under cap and trade, enterprises must balance their economic and environmental benefits. Based on such background, we have established a multi-period optimization model of integrated decision to help enterprises make production and carbon resource allocation decisions. It is found that government should combine industry self-purification characteristics and emission characteristics to allocate emission quotas; the fluctuations of carbon price should be considered when to set punishment force; also, self-purification, carbon trade and punishment should be balanced when to allocate carbon resources.

Gallbladder Diagnosis and Importance Analysis based on Bayesian Network

In recent years, diagnostic and prognostic methods of cancer have become one of the research focuses in clinical medicine with the increased risk of cancer. However, how to excavate the more information from the data, how to establish the different math model, and how to verify the diagnosis further are of great significance for doctor to improve the diagnostic accuracy and reduce the diagnostic complexity. This paper collects and teases the gallbladder cancer data from the first affiliated hospital of medical college of Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, which is used to be excavated except the known tumor markers. Then, the optimal data model is set up using some typical Bayesian networks. Finally, we improve the warning factors of tumor diagnosis from the known information by putting importance calculation method into the analysis of gallbladder diagnosis.

The Effect of Dynamic Capabilities on International Performance of Chinese Universities

This paper seeks to apply the dynamic capabilities framework to examine the internationalization of higher education, specifically, the effect of dynamic capabilities on university’s international performance. An empirical data analysis has been employed, and hypotheses are tested on Chinese 985 and 211 universities. The results indicate that dynamic capabilities have a significant positive effect on the university’s international performance. In particular, learning mechanisms has the most prominent positive effect on university’s international performance. Universities must be fully aware of the importance of dynamic capabilities when dealing with the rapidly changing environment, and should develop the university’s international dynamic capabilities especially their learning mechanisms to enhance their international performance.

Researching The Role Of Online Movie Reviews Based On User Classification

This paper examines the relationship between the online reviews with movie box office under the environment of panel data. According to users’ behavior, we divide the user reviews into two categories: average user reviews and critic reviews, then compare the influence of different types of reviews on the box office. We also analyze the relationship between box office and factors, including movie rank, release days, count of reviews and scores. Our results show that average user reviews have an obviously positive influence on box office, while critic reviews have no effect. The count of average user reviews can be helpful for predicting the movie revenues, rather than critic reviews. Thus the movie rank and release days will provide the reference for consumers to evaluate the quality of movies in daily life. The article points out a new direction for further research on online reviews.

Analysis and Simulation Application for Enterprise Populations M&A Based on Predator-Prey Model

In the circumstances of globalization, the raging trend of transnational merger and acquisition is irresistible, and trends promoted in becoming lager for enterprises are pronounced increasingly. Meanwhile, the professional and subtle-oriented small and medium size firms have developed vigorously, which agree upon the scale-oriented developing trend for enterprises in becoming lager. Thus, many enterprises consider merger and acquisition as a strategic option when oriented towards building competitiveness. Learning from the predator-prey model in ecology, and combined with numerical solution and phase diagram, a model with three typical enterprise populations is studied in this paper. The stability of solutions is investigated and the phase diagrams are described by theoretic analysis and numerical simulation.

Modeling and Analysis of the Customer Checkout Process with Flexible Servers for a Retail Store

Staff should perform several jobs beside checkout operations during working hours in a retail store. To maintain a high service level, those who are performing other jobs may switch to serve customers when there is a customer waiting queue. In this study, a simulation model of the checkout process with the staff who are cross-trained is constructed to examine the server switching policy. Different scenarios compare system performance under various customer arrival conditions and queuing modes. The simulation model provides a potential decision support tool resolving staffing and queuing arrangement problems in a retail store.

An Integrated Strategy for Information Security: Outsourcing and In-house

This paper examines a mixture of in-house efforts and fee-for-service outsourcing for firms to develop security protection. Due to the different degree of outsourcing, firms divide their information assets into two parts: one part is outsourced and the other part will be protected themselves. For the outsourced part, the optimal contract built by the firm and the MSSP, shows that the MSSP should bear full compensation when the firm was attacked by hacker successfully. Moreover, the unit price the firm should pay to the MSSP will decrease as the degree of outsourcing increases, which means that firms prefer to choose outsourcing because of MSSP’s cost advantage. However, the degree of outsourcing does not have an impact on the remaining part, which is not outsourced.
