Operating under the brand SixSense, Huf Secure Mobile GmbH has presented a digital access and authorisation system for car rentals, car sharing service providers and for operators of fleets and pools. The vehicle can be searched for and booked via the SixSense mobile app that also permits the vehicle to be operated via a digital key. Individual and time-related rights of use are allocated and transmitted digitally. Once these rights have been transmitted, the vehicle can be unlocked, locked and started via smartphone without the need for a classic key. The smartphone itself is only a means to an end and is substitutable; in the future it could be a wearable device. The secure and permanently available back-end is an integral part of the solution. Comprehensive data security and protection are guaranteed via physically and digitally protected IT centres in Germany. For car rental customers, car sharing service providers and company car pool operators, this means far more than flexibility and spontaneity, as vehicles can be rented and returned independently of business opening times. SixSense offers fleet managers advantages in the administration of car pools, since the data is stored and evaluated in a single system.
