Recent research on Arctic coasts has been published in April 2011 in a new report, State of the Arctic Coast 2010, produced by the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), the Land–Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone Project (of the International Geosphere–Biosphere Programme and the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change), and the International Permafrost Association (IPA). Using the findings of the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment Reports and the Arctic Human Development Report, the Report examines and assesses not only the physical state, the state of the ecosystem and the current socio-economic conditions of coastal regions of the Arctic, but also looks at integrated approaches to coastal change in the Arctic, monitoring, detecting and modelling of coastal change, vulnerability, adaptation, adaptive capacity, resilience, and governance. …
