The Gay Tourism niche market is a fast growing tourism sector which now has increased awareness across the global tourism industry. Since the seventies when the Gay Pride movement brought gay people out of their “closets” in North America and Europe, the Gay Community has become more and more visible running their own bars, cafes, shops, villages and events. The acceptance of gay people and their lifestyle grew and grew as the political situation over the past 40 years evolved from criminal actions to gay marriages.
