No Corona ... before 5 o'clock. And now I promise not to mention that word again in this editorial. We're in for hard times. According to statements released by a number of companies, our industry will need around five years to return to pre-crisis levels. But let's nonetheless try to keep things in perspective, and even look on the bright side. I say that because it is precisely the current reduction in workload that presents a unique opportunity for enterprises to refrain from cutting their workforces and instead, unburdened of daily business, to exploit their additional capacity, primarily in the form of time, so as to vigorously move forward with improvements and new developments that will be needed after the downturn. Indeed, this will be the only way for enterprises to get the right products all lined up and ready - together with the necessary workforce - when economic vitality returns. Those who elect to freeze in cost-saving mode will lack both the innovations and human resources to contend with the virtuous when things pick up again. …
