Abstract

The kinetic model for the complex formation of NdCl3 with isopropyl alcohol (ROH) is developed. This model will connect the initial diameter of NdCl3 particles with the composition of NdCl3 · nROH complex obtained from them, the kinetics of complex formation and the molecular mass characteristics of polyisoprene which is synthesized on NdCl3 · nROH-Al(i-C4H9)3-piperilen catalytic system. The developed model allows us to predict the composition of NdCl3 · nROH complex, which is optimal for the production of polyisoprene with low molecular mass, which has high flowability and it is able to act as a component of a vulcanizing sealant.
