Adaptive Software Test Management System Based on Software Agents

In this paper an agent-based concept for the Adaptive Test Management System (ATMS) was presented. The test units, the test cases and the test resources are represented by software agents, which through negotiations and by integrated fuzzy-controllers plan the test. They prioritize test cases, request new test cases and allocate test resources based on a desired quality of test and the available test time. Due to dynamic events during the test, the test plan is continuously adapted from a test cycle to the other. In addition, due to the feedback about found defects during the test and during the operation, the test planning and control strategies are continuously optimized.

A Clustering Scheme for Trajectories in Road Networks

Trajectories of moving objects contain numerous information to analyze and exploit. Clustering analysis is an important approach to deal with trajectories in data mining technology. However, existing trajectory clustering algorithm barely considers temporal information during clustering procedure. This paper proposes a clustering scheme for trajectories in road network environment. A trajectory on road network is represented by a sequence of interest points that each point indicates a real location on road segment. We define a distance measure to compute the spatial similarity between trajectories, then we propose a clustering algorithm based on DBSCAN and add temporal factor into it at the same time.

PSO Solution for Linear Programming with Fuzzy Relation Constraints

An optimization model with a 1inear objective function subject to a system of fuzzy relation equations was presented. Since the non-empty feasible solution set of the fuzzy relation equations was generally a non-convex set, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was proposed. The PSO algorithm didn’t more complex by the rising of degree of the problem, and could avoid being trapped in local optimum due to using alterable inertia weight. We applied the proposed algorithm to an example, and compared its result with those generated by GA algorithms. The experimental comparison demonstrates that the performance of PSO algorithm is competitive with others and will be an effective method.

The Optimization of Large Information Management Database Bottlenecks

Database object placement strategy is evenly distributed the data to disk, which is not simply put the data into the disk, but on balancing VO access, to avoid the I/ 0 bottlenecks. Disperse the visit into different disk, so that the user data will across multiple devices as soon as possible. Multiple I/ 0 operation can avoid the I/O competition, and to overcome the access bottleneck. The random access and continuous access data will be placed separately. Put the system database 1/0 and application database I/O on Separately disk. Put the system audit tables and temporary tables on the non-busy disk. Put the transaction log on a separate disk to reduce disk I/0 spending. I is also beneficial to the recover from obstacles, and improves the system’s security. Put the frequently visited “active” table on different disks; place the frequently used table, frequently joined operation tables into different disk, even place frequently visited into different disk. The Study of Relationships among Undergraduate Students’ Explanatory Style, Yuan-Fen Style, and Breakup-Dealing

The aim of this was to explore whether undergraduate students’ optimism and their Yuan-fen style influenced their attitudes about dealing positively with a romantic break-up. Methods of data collection included a self-designed Yuan-fen Style Questionnaire, an Attributional Style Questionnaire (ASQ), and a Finding Meaning Questionnaire. The study defined Chinese Yuan-fen style in terms of the belief of predestination as two types of responses: cooperating response and accommodating response, depending on the extent to which an individual could participate in the development of a relationship. Positive attitudes and profit finding were two dimensions of evaluation to determine the type of Yuan-fen style. The results show that there is no interaction between a person’s optimism and Yuan-fen style and his or her positive attitude and profit finding. As for Yuan-fen style, the study finds that people who have a cooperating response benefit more from their breakup experiences than those who have an accommodating response. The study provides resources for consultation work, and offers evidence for follow-up research so that Yuan-fen style may serve a positive function in the negative situation of a romantic relationship.

Research on a New Network Model for Fault Location Based on Betweenness

As the structure of modern computer networks has become more and more complex, the SNMP[1] protocol’s fault management modes are challenged in the traditional network management. Higher requests have been put forward to the fault location research in network management about how to quickly find a network fault point in the complex network structure and to improve the efficiency of network management. In recent years, studies on complex networks[2] are still growing, so it is a direction worthy of research and concerns on how to combine the network management with the information contents which describe the relevant natures and dimensions of networks in complex networks, to enhance functions of the network management model, and to fast capture the fault point. In this paper, through simulation, it has been discovered that there is a certain percentage between a node’s betweenness and its patency. That is, when a fault occurs, the higher a node’s betweenness, the greater the possibility of a fault’s occurring on another node which is on the shortest path passing the former node. Therefore, through the introduction of a node’s betweenness and other related factors in complex networks into the algorithm for discovering a fault point in network management, a new fault location algorithm is put forward. Also, based on experimental simulations and algorithm performance tests in real situations, it enhances the effects of polling and Trap traditional mechanisms in the previous SNMP protocol, effectively reduces the fault detection time, and improves the location accuracy.

Human-Computer Interaction by a Robust Hand Tracking Method

The interaction between man and computer has become an important topic as it can generalize the use of computers, robots and other intelligent machines. For active H/R interaction scheme, the computer needs to detect human faces in its vicinity and then interpret canonical gestures. In this paper, we firstly present a method to track the hands robustly in videos recorded by a camera, and then by compute the similarity of the trajectories of the hands’ motion, we can interact with computer by some simple sign languages. An efficient color segmentation on the skin-like colored pixels is used. Then we locate the hands by a fast optic flow method which is computed only by the skin-like image blocks. At the last stage, we get the hand motion trajectory and map it to a string. By String Edit Distance method, we can compute the similarity of the string representing input hand command with some template strings denoting sign language pre-trained and stored in database.

Representation of User Interest Model Based on Attribute Coordinate Analysis

It was discussed how to establish a machine-learning user interest model based on attribute coordinate analysis, and enable the information system to cluster by personalized data and realize user interest-oriented initiative recommendation service. The inference relationship was established by the characteristic that there was a mutual information correlation between data attributes, and thus an attribute simplex model was constructed. The center of gravity of attribute simplex subdivision was a stationary point which could show the essence of user interest. Digital lithography of attribute simplex could be performed by attribute linear coordinate system, and clustering similarity could be obtained by evaluating the Euclidean geometric distance between the coordinates of the stationary point. The results showed that the method – to subdivide and infer the center of gravity of the attribute in the attribute simplex at first to obtain the center of gravity of attribute and then cluster data for the center of gravity by utilizing attribute coordinate could mine and utilize the covert semantic information between data attributes more sufficiently than the similarity calculation method of directly using data attribute weights.

Reweighting Recognition Using Modified Kernel Principal Component Analysis via Manifold Learning

Kernel Principal Component Analysis (KPCA) is a widely used technique in the dimension reduction, de-noising and discovering nonlinear intrinsic dimensions of data set. In this paper we describe a reweighing kernel-based classification method for improving recognition problem. Firstly, we map the training samples to the feature space by non-linear transformation, and then perform principal component analysis(PCA) using the selected kernel function in the feature space, and get the linear representation of testing samples in the feature space. Secondly, by using the idea of reweighting, we select the similarity between testing sample and each training sample as the weight of reweighting, then take the final weight as the criteria of classification. The experimental results demonstrate that our method is more accurate than Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification method and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) classification. In addition, the number of training samples that our method need is much smaller than some other methods.

The Research on Sports Intelligence in China

Scholars in china take the issue of intelligence seriously and strive to study it. One of the aspects is the research on sports intelligence. Presently, the scholars in china are researching into sports intelligence from three directions: the traditional intelligence test approach (psychometric approach), the cognitive approach and the biometrics approach. The first approach is studied the most and obtained a lot, but the idea and the method are old. So this approach will be washed out. The second approach is in line with the progressive trend. The viewpoint is fresh, the theory concerned is sufficient, and the way of study is innovative. So this orientation research will be the mainstream of the study on sports intelligence in china. The third approach is on its initial stage, but represents the latest direction of the study on sports intelligence in china. At present, the sport intelligence research in China is urgently needed to break through from the following aspects: to conduct more experiments to test the relationship between cause and effect, rather than related studies; to shift from the focus on the results of intellectual activity to the internal process of intellectual activity; to shift from the focus on the internal structure of intelligence to the external environment of intellectual development; to shift from the focus on the macro level research on intelligence to the micro level of the neural mechanisms of intelligence; to develop athletes intellectual evaluation software to enrich the research tools.

Student sports lottery buyers in our study means the students who purchase lotteries up to 4 times the average month, or monthly purchases amounted to 20yuan or more. There are 46 papers about lottery purchasers, consumer psychology and behavior in and abroad over a period of 22 years (1988-2009), only two papers are about students. Based on the literature research, this study analyses the present situation of sports consumer behavior of students, including their consumption levels, the attitude towards sports lottery, factors of purchasing behavior and so on. Results suggest that students’ consumption was mainly affected by economic resources and stayed in a low level, thus almost no expense of lottery. Few students purchase lotteries frequently, many of them buy lotteries occasionally holding the mentality of curious. Finally, we will propose some strategies and further vision against the main problems in the published researches: ①broaden the objects of study and the scope of research; ②cross-regional research, considering weather the economic and geographical factors will affect the behavior of students or not; ③students purchasing behaviors and its influence factors from a psychological point of view; ④ promote screening criteria of “problem” students; ⑤ propose intervention strategies, such as the positive guidance and publicity from schools and society and mandatory laws and regulations, etc.

Youth Extracurricular Leadership Development: A Literature Review

Extracurricular leadership training plays fundamental roles in developing qualities of students. The body of research suggests that such participation can impact youth in multiple ways. The following review of literature will begin with defining youth leadership development, followed by an overview and summary of the current state including the goals, contents and approaches of youth extracurricular leadership development programs. Then the factors and related variables are discussed. The result presents that extracurricular leadership development training has been routine in recent years. Today’s programs are highly structured, the exercises are normally modeled and the approaches are appropriately identified, yet the empirical and longitudinal evidence is still limited. The suggestions for further research are also provided as follows. Firstly, academic studies to date have focused overwhelmingly on practice of extracurricular leadership development, while the study of leadership development theory and model are relatively few. Comprehensive, multidimensional model of leadership development should be designed and extended. Secondly, multiple approaches in processes are vital for leadership development. Further research should cover and explore the appropriate methods integrated with a multidimensional perspective to confirm mastery. Finally, little thorough evaluation and assessment of competencies and behavioral change is done during the leadership development processes. Overall assessment should be considered and carried out. The outcomes can provide useful guidance to educators, practitioners and researchers in the area of youth leadership development.

Study on Serious Hybrid Electric Vehicle Control System Based on MPC566 Microcontroller

Energy consumption is becoming a more important issue around the world. One area where there is increasing research is in increased fuel economy. An area where there are many commercial solutions is hybrid vehicles. Hybrid vehicle traction applications require compact power modules with high reliability. Hybrid Vehicles use two energy sources for their propelling. Usually an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) is used with one or more electric machines (EM). The problem is then to split the driver power demand between the ICE and the EM in order to minimize a criterion, usually the fuel consumption. Hybrid Vehicle fuel economy and drivability performance are very sensitive to the “Energy Management” controller that regulates power flow among the various energy sources and sinks. In this paper, we will present a procedure for the design of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle Control Unit (HCU) Controller based MPC566 Microcontroller. The high performance of MPC566 for HCU controller is introduced. The simulation configuration based on PSAT for the global model has been developed. Moreover, the HEV system equipped the developed controller based on MPC566 is taken a road test. Test results show that not only CAN communication is reliable and accurate, but also HEV controller based on MPC566 can effectively harmonize the task distribution among all ECUs of a Drivetrain assemblies with the real-time control improved greatly for HEV control system.

Fine-Grained Spatial Access Control in Spatial Database

Current database with numerous users requires fine grained access control. It is also needed in spatial database systems that keep both spatial attribute and non-spatial attribute. Spatial attribute fine-grained access control is discussed in this paper. First the two spatial authorization patterns are analyzed with distinguish difference. Then a framework for fine-grained spatial access control in spatial database is prompted. Automatic built and pre-compiled authorization views are used for each user, which would be a better performance; Query rewriting replaces the real relation which user really want to query with the equal authorization view when the query is executed. Finally, the limitation of the framework is discussed.

Meta-Model Based Model Organization and Transformation of Design Pattern Units in MDA

To achieve the purpose of applying design patterns which are various in kind and constant in changing in MDA from idea and application indeed, one way is used to solve the problem of pattern disappearance which comes into being at the process of pattern instantiation, and guarantee the independence of patterns, at the same time apply this process to multiple design patterns. To solve these two problems, the authors took the modeling method of design pattern unit based on meta-model. Dividing basic operations into atoms in the meta-model tier and then combine the atoms to complete design pattern units meta-models without business logic. Then after one process of conversion, it realizes the purpose of making up various pattern units meta-model as well as dividing business logic and pattern logic at the same time.

Responses of Forest NDVI in Northeast China to Precipitation Change

Using the MODIS NDVI 2000—2009, the responses of forest vegetation to precipitation change in Northeast China were investigated. The results show that the NDVI in entire forest region had no significant change in the past ten years, but various regions had differences. NDVI of Xiao Xingan Mountain forest decreased, and in the north of research area NDVI increased obvious. There is more rainfall in forest region in the past ten years as contrary as the decreased precipitation in Northeast of China. The relation between forest and precipitation can be thought that the response is various in different regions because the strength of variation and different distribution characteristics of precipitation. In Liaoning coastal areas, there is significant positive correlation between forest NDVI and precipitation. Because of the obstruction of Korean peninsula on the moist circulation from the ocean, the precipitation in the forest region on the border Korean peninsula decreased to a certain extent. But those areas had less influences on forest vegetation resulted from peoples. The water content in soil came from the melted snow and rainfall can satisfy the need of vegetation growth. In this area, the rainfall of ten year mean is above 600mm. So the correlation coefficient shows negative. In Da/Xiao Xingan Mountain regions, the correlation coefficient between the coniferous forest NDVI and annual precipitation has no significance. The authors think that the low temperature and heavy snowfall lesson the influence of precipitation on forest vegetation.

Spatial and Temporal Changes of Vegetation Index at CHANGCUN Mine

Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) mean variation before and after the mining subsidence in three typical coal faces of CHANGCUN mine in LUAN Mining Group are extracted from 2004-2007 phase remote sensing data ( SPOT2/4 satellite).

Using probability integral method, the influenced areas of the mining subsidence is evaluated. Then the curve of NDVI during the four years is obtained by Polynomial Fitting and Fast Fourier Approximation.

This conclusion is that:

(1) The NDVI mean-versus-time curve (over the land in typical face before and after mining subsidence) has an annual cycle and clear seasonal characteristics, which is consistent with phonological characteristics of the vegetation in semi-arid regions.

(2) The spatial connections between NDVI change and surface mining disturbed area are significant. The maximum of mean NDVI in subsidence areas above the typical working face tended to increase before mining. In mining year, the average annual decrease is 14.90%.

(3) The vegetation index temporal changes in mining areas have a certain time delay. After mining, the NDVI decreases with time and tends to stable eventually. Hence, it is concluded that the damaging of plants growth and the weakening of biomass accumulation in mining disturbed areas are caused by the mining subsidence.

Multi-mode Access Selection for Cognitive Networks Based on Evidence Theory

Cognitive network has a cognitive process that can perceive current network conditions, and then plan, decide and act on those conditions. The network can learn from these adaptations and use them to make future decisions, all while taking into account end-to-end goals. This paper has laid the groundwork for the basic infrastructure of a cognitive network and has proposed a method for the multiple access selection. Additionally, the cognitive network access management framework has been proposed with the consideration of cross-layer design. Finally, a cognitive network access selection algorithm has been proposed based on the D-S evidence theory. We have designed a simulation experiment and compared our proposed algorithm with other network access selection methods. The experiment results showed that our method can detect the states of multiple access channels effectively and then compute the access priority based on the evidence.

The Particle-Phase Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons Exhausted from Diesel Engines Fuelled with Emulsified Diesel

Emulsified diesel is an alternative fuel for internal combustion engines. It can reduce the emitted pollutants. In this work, the effect of water-oil emulsions on the particulate matter (PM) and particle-phase polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) composition exhausted by diesel engine was studied. Three different water-oil blends emulsions with volume fractions of water ranging from 0% to 15% were investigated. The experimental results indicated that the mean reductions of PM mass concentration of E10, E15 are 19.31% and 17.99%, respectively, compared with E0.The mean increases of total PAH content of E10, E15 are 5.08% and 20.19%, respectively, compared with E0. The BaPeq (benzo [a] pyrene equivalent toxicity) of E0, E10 and E15 are 4.75, 6.53 and 8.86 respectively. Therefore, the blending fraction is a significant factor for the particle-phase total PAH content. Besides, researches on health effects of emulsified diesel are needed as well.

A New Search Technology of Bio-sequence Similarity Based on Sorting Index

Because the similarity of gene sequence in structure usually leads to the similarity in function in bioinformatics, finding subsequences that have partial similarity with given bio-sequence in the database and presuming the function of queried sequence is work that is often needed completed in quantity. This paper presents a new bio-sequence search method which compresses index results based on sorting structure. The method on one hand reduces the space demand on index and improves space utilization rate, on the other hand does dynamic planning with the expanding of fragment vector in the same time to enhance filtering efficiency and reduce time complexity. On the premise of guaranteeing search result accuracy rate, the search efficiency is increased greatly.

An Improving Algorithm of Trajectory Outliers Detection

Along with more and more moving objects data being collected in the server, outlying trajectory detecting as one of key research points of data mining, has attracted extensive research effort from diverse areas. TRAOD is one of classic method to detecting outlying trajectory, however, Two Phase Partition, which was used to performance optimization, would lead to the loss of outlying trajectory segment. In this paper, we proposed an efficient outlying detection based on R-Tree, which prunes irrespective sub-trajectories by R-Tree to improve the performance of algorithm. Detailed experimental results prove that the method not only resolves the loss of outlying t-partition, but also obtains much higher performance than existing techniques.

Scenario Prediction of Urban Growth Based on the SLEUTH Model

To support urban planning for sustainable development, the SLEUTL model was selected to predict urban growth under different scenarios in this paper. Taken the Dongguan central city of the Pearl River Delta as an example, three scenarios for different planning goals were created, which were the Historical Trend (HT) scenario, the Forest Protection (FP) scenario and the Growth Restriction (GR) scenario. The results showed that the urban area would expand continuously from 2003 to 2030 under the HT scenario. More land resources would be saved in GR scenario than FP scenario. Furthermore, the urban growth under HT and FP scenarios would come to a steady state at 2020, while this deadline of the GR scenario would be postpone to 2025. The results of scenario prediction demonstrated that the GR scenario was more effective to meet the goal of land protection for the study area.

Spatio-temporal Patterns and Numerical Simulation of Surface Albedo in China

Based on the NOAA/AVHRR data during from 1982 to 1998 and the temperature and precipitation data at the same time, we have researched the dimensional distribution and change of surface albedo in China, obtained the relationship between surface albedo and temperature and precipitation, and calculated the distribution and change trends of surface albedo in China used the regression equation calculated. The results showed that the spatial distribution and variation tendency of the average surface albedo differ geographically in China; the surface albedo in different districts well correlates with temperature and precipitation, but the relativity making large differences due to vegetation types, temperature functioning more significantly than precipitation in the fluctuations of surface albedo. Equation of curve regression obtained by fitting the monthly average surface albedo and temperature and precipitation can better simulate the spatial distribution and seasonal variation of surface albedo in China. The systematic error of the model is small, yielding better simulation results.
