Abstract

Fish require a sufficient amount of dissolved oxygen in the water to breathe and maintain their metabolic functions. Insufficient levels of dissolved oxygen can lead to stress, illness, and even death among the fish population. Therefore, it is crucial to model and simulate the relationship between dissolved oxygen levels and fish behavior in order to optimize aquarium design and management.
One approach to studying this relationship is through multiagent based modeling. This method involves creating a virtual environment in which multiple agents, representing individual fish, interact with each other and the environment based on a set of predefined rules. In the context of aquarium simulation, the agents would represent individual fish, and the environment would represent the aquarium water and its parameters.
