By 2026, more than half of Ferrari's model range will be equipped with electrified powertrains. The sports car manufacturer announced this at an investor event.

Italian automaker Ferrari is looking to expand its model lineup with greater electrification. This was announced at an investor event. Accordingly, 15 new launches are planned between 2023 and 2026. This includes one-offs and special series such as "Icona" or the planned "Supercar". The first battery-electric Ferrari model is to be launched in 2025, offering excellent handling as a "real Ferrari". The electric powertrains will be developed with the know-how accumulated in Formula 1 and hand-built in Maranello.

In 2026, the proportion of models with combustion engines is to be only 40 %, with the remainder going to hybrid drives and the BEV. However, Ferrari has announced the further development of the combustion engine as an "essential part of the company’s heritage". Thus, V6, V8 and V12 engines will continue to be built in the future. The hybrid models will rely on V6 and V8 layouts. A twelve-cylinder engine will be under the hood of the new Ferrari Purosangue SUV, among others; it will be unveiled in September 2022. It will set standards in the luxury SUV class in terms of design, performance and driving pleasure.
