This article is oriented to the processing of multimedia data. This is a proposal for a rapid and computationally efficient method that is applicable in the Internet environment with the minimum requirements for hardware and software. The article mapping the current state of the recognition of multimedia data independent of the rotation and deformation. Proposes its own solution for pre-processing, storing and indexing images in the form of vectors. Here are discussed various methods of searching in image data. For the purposes of detecting commemorative coins, the approach was chosen based on edge detection and subsequent indexing. Directions are outlined to further development of the whole project. A particular focus on effective pre-processing and indexing large collections of data.
