Abstract

This article discusses, the role of cryptocurrency in the economy, its negative and positive aspects, the attitude of the population to cryptocurrencies, and the analysis of indicators of the current state of cryptocurrency, the possibility of qualifying it as money, electronic money, currency values, information and other property, cryptocurrency as “other property”, as well as economic comments on the possibility of consideration as money from the point of view are presented. At the same time, the possibility of cryptocurrency as a substitute for money in private law relations has been explored. Also, the main focus of the article is on how close to reality the views of cryptocurrency as the money of the future are.
