Electric Isotropic Steel with Rated Magnetic Permeability, Coercive Force, High Magnetic and Mechanical Properties, and Improved Flatness

Abstract

During the development of a technology for the production of medium-alloyed, cold-rolled electric isotropic steel with a silicon content of Si < 2.1% and phosphorus additions P > 0.02% as well with rated magnetic, mechanical properties and improved flatness, the effect of decarburizing-recrystallization annealing modes on the content of final carbon and grain size of finished steel has been studied. Maintaining the degree of humidification of nitrogen-hydrogen gas at a dew point of at least +31°C ensures deep decarburization of cold-rolled strips to a carbon content of less than 0.005%. The influence of parameters of the metal cooling mode during the decarburization-recrystallization annealing of cold-rolled steel on the non-flatness of the annealed strips is considered.
