Abstract

The components of a contactless system for determining the linear and angular coordinates of a moving object using measurements of the components of the local magnetic field from a fixed source are described. A system of nonlinear equations connecting the results of measurements with the mutual position and orientation of the magnetic field source and a small mobile receiver is proposed. An approach to solving the system of equations is described.
