Abstract

Successful employees make good use of mentoring to more fully understand how to be successful in the firm or at a specific task in the firm. Also, successful employees seek out people who might disciple the employee to become more like the more senior, more successful disciple-er. An intense form of discipling is the Biblical concept of akoloutheo in which the employee seeks to ‘follow’ the master and become like the master until the employee becomes a master and has followers of his/her own.
