Since leaving office as British Prime Minister in 2010 Gordon Brown has only occasionally made public interventions, in 2014 during the Referendum on Scottish independence and again during the Brexit Referendum in 2016. He has spent his time working on international causes, and since 2012 has been the United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education. But as this book demonstrates his interests go much wider than education. He identifies seven ways to change the world which arise from seven key challenges which require global solutions if they are to be met. The starting point of the book is that there is a yawning gap between our need to cooperate and our willingness to do so.
