Responding to the international scientific community’s call for an effort to coordinate further research and the next steps in dealing with ocean acidification, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has established the Ocean Acidification International Coordination Centre. In September 2012 in Monterey, California, the Third Symposium on the Ocean in a High CO2 World concluded with the launch of this centre. It has been set up to serve not only the scientific community, but also policymakers, educators, journalists, and the general public. …
