Since June 2004, C.L.A.M. has introduced a language test for accreditation for University students wholly created, administered and delivered in electronic format. C.L.A.M.’ s target users include mainly University students who need to take a test in a foreign language, such as English, German, French and Spanish to get credits for their linguistic competence in receptive skills (i.e. listening and reading comprehension, including grammar and vocabulary). In the last exam session, almost 300 students per day were evaluated in a multimedia lab with 50 PCs connected by an Intranet.
