Workers in the Knowledge Society need to think creatively, solve problems, and make decisions as a team. Therefore, the development and enhancement of skills for teamwork through collaborative learning is one of the main goals of nowadays education. The term “collaborative learning" refers to an instructional approach in which students work together in groups toward a common goal. The present research was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a collaborative learning approach where groups of students were involved in the creation of instructional content through the reuse of existing videos that could be segmented according to their needs. The experience was based on the use of a prototype supporting the collaborative activities and facilitating the creation, sequencing and presentation of video segments. Student’s perceptions of the learning experience were evaluated and findings are presented as well as suggestions for further research.
